WHo Is Sovereign Assembly Of Christ?

Sovereign Assembly of Christ understands God's foundation truth concerning saving Humanity through the work of Jesus Christ. God has given each local community an example for propelling His Kingdom forward and that is what SAOC is here to do.

The Book of Acts explains how Jesus pours out the Holy Spirit on His Apostles which in turn inspires them to spread the message of salvation from Jerusalem to Rome. The goal was to saturate the land with the Good News of Jesus Christ so that ALL humanity could be saved and live a life that glorifies the All-Mighty God. 

SAOC has been energized to carry out the Great Commission given by Jesus when He said in Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” 

We believe our mission starts with the teaching about God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit using the inspired and HOLY scriptures of our Heavenly Father and Creator of ALL things.

The Holy Bible is the only source that can answer Humanity's three most important questions:

• Where did I come from?
• Why am I here?
• Where am I going?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT - ALL scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

We believe that the God of the Bible is the Sovereign God and Creator of ALL things...EVERYTHING!

We believe He has ALL-Knowledge (Omniscience), ALL-Power (Omnipotence), and He is present EVERYWHERE at the same time (Omnipresent).

We believe that "The ONE God" is manifested in three...The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

We believe that the God of the Bible is ETERNAL, and that Humanity was created in His image for the sole purposes of glorifying Him.

Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT

Have you never heard? Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint. 

We believe that Jesus Christ is GOD manifested in the flesh.

We believe that Jesus Christ was supernaturally born of a virgin, being a PERFECT and SINLESS Man, and PERFECT God.

We believe that Jesus Christ appeared in human form, humbled Himself in obedience to God, and died a criminal's death on a cross to save a sinful world.

We believe Jesus died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended, and now sits at the right side of God, waiting to return to receive all those who belong to Him and to defeat Satan once and for all.

Jude 1:25 NLT - All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. 

We believe that HE, the Holy Spirit, is part of the TRIUNE God.

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of Sin.

We believe that the Holy Spirit moves in us to the point of REPENTANCE unto SALVATION.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and is working in this day of GRACE by abiding in EVERY Believer.

We believe that it is ONLY by the works of the Holy Spirit that a believer can bring forth the Fruit of the Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the giver of at least one gift to ALL Believers.

John 16:13 NLT - When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 

We believe that due to the SIN of Adam in the Garden of Eden, Humanity is born with a SIN nature.

We believe that the transformation of a person's spiritual condition from DEATH to LIFE (darkness to light) through the work of the Holy Spirit is necessary to have an authentic relationship with God the Father.

We believe that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through His death, burial, and resurrection rescues (saves) Humanity from the penalty of SIN, which is death.

We believe that Salvation is for EVERYONE!

We believe that Salvation cannot be earned and believe that receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is by FAITH and by God's GRACE alone.

We believe that the GIFT of Salvation will lead to ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.

Ephesians 2:1-10 NLT

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

We believe that when someone accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they are baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:5 NLT - John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. 

We believe that Water Baptism should be a part of every Believer's life.

We believe that Water Baptism is a symbol and a public confession of a Christian's identity, representing Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

1 Peter 3:21 NLT - And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 

We believe the Lord's Supper should be observed by ALL believers in remembrance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on the cross.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NLT -  For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
